Hi all

I think I am actually bumping some cliche. I recently noticed some weird(at least to me) thing about dolphin detail mode: you can not select an item/folder by line, but have to click the icon/name to select it. Think about you have a wide screen and have to go to very left of panel to pick up the item you want...

This actually has been discussed a few years ago:

But insofar as I know the issue has not been brought to enough attention. Well, among all the file manager I have used on different platform/DE, e.g., nautilus, krusader, total commander, windows explorer, finder, dolphin is the only one that does not support click and highlight line under details mode.

I can confirm that this is still the case under KDE Trunk. I can see some instances where this behaviour may not be desired however.
