hello
can you please help me understand how in dolphin file manager is it possible to have a video previewed/played when i hover the mouse on it ? i saw this a few days ago, the video was played as soon as the mouse touched the file. Now i only can see the 1st picture of the video in the preview panel ,there's a play icon that i need to clik before the video plays cheers i'm using Qt: 4.8.4 KDE Development Platform: 4.10.1 "release 552"

To the best of my knowledge, this feature you observed does not exist... at the very least I am not able to reproduce it (with the ffmpegthumbnailer).

hello
i added kde-mplayer-thumbnailer and saw direct play of the video. (not sure this is directly linked though) I don't know why but it 's now changed to the way i described above.

It possibly could have been caused by the MPlayer thumbnailer, but i'm not too sure.
From what I recall, the embedded playback in Dolphin was powered by Phonon itself - and that widget does not commence playback automatically.
