Hello everyone,

I want to move some video files from my home directory to my external hdd using dolphin. But the file transfer never finishes, there isn't any progress after some files. Never had this problem before. I tried to move the files via command line ... no problems so far, all files are copied. is there someone with the same problem? How can I debug this behaviour?

Setting:
• Arch Linux with KDE 4.14.0
• tried with two different hddS (toshiba + western digital) and two different usb 3.0 cables
• file system is btrfs on home as well as on the external hdds

The issue won't be dolphin but kio, the file kioslave in particular.
There also some bugs claiming it would randomly™ drop files or parts of files.

If you still have the issue, i'd suggest to use

kioclient cp <src> <dst>

from konsole and watch the output.
Also, when copying stalls, check "dmesg" on buffer issues (corrupted, locked, overflow, etc.)
