Hello,
I am using Dolphin in dual pane mode. How can I copy / move to the other pane? Now I have to do "Copy to" -> "Root Folder/Home Folder/Browse" etc. But I don't find any "Other Pane" in the list. Is it possible in Dolphin? I see that feature is there in most of the dual pane file managers in the world. Please don't tell me about "drag and drop". Thanks. |

Is there any specific reason why you don't like drag and drop? |

I don't like drag and drop. I don't consider it user friendly. Thanks. |

Krusader is also a nice file manager. I tried it. But it doesn't have devices list, as Dolphin has. I have Windows 7 in other partition. Dolphin lists my removable devices nicely and (un)mounts them as and when needed. I could not figure out how to make Mountman in Krusader behave like that. I would not edit my /etc/fstab to automount all my windows partitions at startup. Thanks. |

You'll have to file a feature request against either krusader (to incorporate a placesview) or dolphin (to add mc style shortcuts) then - afaiu krusader is more the norton commander poweruser tool while dolphin is is classical explorer style thing. And for the latter keyboard driven usage was probably simply not considered a usercase (though should be really trivial to add)

Where can I post feature request? I cannot find the forum. BTW, I know it's OT, but are there mailing lists for all KDE forums? Then one can participate / involve more, IMO. Thanks. |

Not sure whether that's what you mean, but press the "tools" button (upper right) to subscribe to a forum - you should be notified on every post. A forum is in general not a mailing lists, though there are mailing lists for most/all components, but they focus on development (afaics) |

Please, assing to F5 copy selected files to the other pane, and INSERT key for select or unselect files will be very usefull.
People like me are used to this mode for many years with various file managers. Thanks! |

F5 has always been used to refresh, on pretty much every window manager I know. Copy and Paste have always been Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, why on earth would you want to change that...
FWIW: you can customize your key bindings to your needs, check the System Settings -> Shortcuts. Just keep in mind it might conflict with existing Shortcuts. FWIW2: You are replying to a 5 year old thread...

FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
