Hi all. I'm not sure if this is the best place to make a suggestion/feature request.. but i'll have a go at it.

One feature I find lacking from Dolphin (coming from Windows), is the ability to do a delayed double click to initiate an inline file rename. This feature is incredibly useful on Windows and I find myself trying to do it all the time in Dolphin

It works like this:

* Click the text portion of of a file in the file manager
* Wait a brief moment, click again
* The inline rename function initiates on the file

The delay is longer than the systemwide double-click interval (400ms default in KDE), but shorter than approximately 1500ms (not sure what value is used under Windows). It's a great alternative to having to Right Click > Rename on each file.

This might go beyond Dolphin, as it would also work in Open/Save dialogs as well.

Press F2, you're about to use the keyboard anyway.

One problem with your suggestion is that people don't use doubleclick activation itfp - that's a MS disease to increase mouse sales :-P
