Hi,
on Windows 7 when i copy a file with CTRL+C and CTRL+V the Windows Explorer creates the new File (or Folder) with a little Prefix (something like "copy of" or "copy of (1)" - when i use CTRG+V more than once). I miss this behaviour when using Dolphin. Is there a similar function in dolphin? fmeier |

Looks like dolphin will handle the copy and paste as you expect, except for the automatically naming the copy file - instead dolphin will ask you what you want to name the copy, with a button you can use to suggest a new name (appends .1, .2, .3 etc.) .
If you are open to mouse gestures, Ctrl+dragging a file into the same directory will also copy the file and open the dialog for naming the copy.

Yes, i know. But i like the behaviour of the Windows Explorer. The is a Button right of the File name of the new file, when i klick on that button Dolphin shown me a suggested file name: "file (1).ext". This is what i want but without the dialog. I think its better if dolphin copies the file without the dialog.

I don't see an option in dolphin/konqueror/kde to do that automatically (in kde 4, though I don't think they've added it in kde 5).
You can try suggesting it in the Brainstorm forum to add an option to copy-with-auto-rename by default, or you can try other file managers to see if any of them have such behavior.
