Hi,
Apologies if this has been posted before (I tried searching the dolphin topics for git). I understand that Dolphin under KDE4 had git integration which doesn't work under plasma 5? Is this the case? Does it need someone to rewrite a plugin/service for plasma 5/the latest version of Dolphin? (I may be volunteering - depending on how much work) Many thanks, Andrew (Am running openSUSE tumbleweed with the most recent updates) |

By the https://cgit.kde.org/dolphin-plugins.git/ the Dolphin git plugin has been ported to the KDE Frameworks 5: https://cgit.kde.org/dolphin-plugins.gi ... 162b150433 . I can't say if it is working or not.
If you want to help to develop the Dolphin etc. there are: - kfm-devel: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kfm-devel - > IRC channel for Dolphin now available: https://marc.info/?l=kfm-devel&m=149458112711585&w=2 |

The git plugin is in the package dolphin-plugins.
You may have to install that manually, and you have to enable the plugin in dolphin's settings But yes, it should work in dolphin 17.04.2, it does here. (and it's irrelevant whether you use Plasma5 as desktop or anything else) |

Many thanks Rog & Wolfi - strangely the plugins were installed, yet the service checkboxes never appeared - until today, when I started double checking the packages and confirming shared dependencies - oddly they just appeared after starting dolphin from konsole - go figure...
Thanks again! |
