White Ark is a good archive program it's rather slow in areas and doesn't have as many features as file-roller, so... would it be possible to have compatibility with file-roller added to dolphin so it can detect between the two (or manually selected via user setting).

You can change file associations for various archive formats, and set them to be opened with your preferred application.
Or just uninstall Ark.
