Viewing default service menus

Sat Jul 27, 2019 4:45 pm
I want to develop my own service menus and for that purpose I would like to have a look at how the default service menus work. I am using the latest KDE Neon.

I looked in the paths mentioned under
Code: Select all
kf5-config --path services
but $HOME/.local/share/kservices5 did not even exist and in /usr/share/kservices5 I found many services, but not the actual actions.

I assume you are referring to Dolphin service menus which show up when you right-click on certain files?
If so, they are specifically under /usr/share/kservices5/ServiceMenus.
I suspect that not all service menus are listed there as they may be either built-in or provided by some other means.

on top of that, SMs from https://store.kde.org/browse/cat/102/pa ... d/plinged/ are so poorly documented, they don't tell you anything. also they are heavily censored.

https://store.kde.org/browse/cat/102/page/24/ord/plinged/

unzip them and look how they install themselves
