I am 40 and I feel deeply offended!

I don't want decisions to be made for me!
Ι don't need pimps to protect my... !
If your software has security issues, fix them!
If you don't know how to fix them, don't make your software available to the public, until you find a way to fix them.

I need nobody telling me what I will run on my system and how.
I am a full grown up and I take full responsibility of my actions.
If I do stupids things and the system breaks on me, let it break.
If I want to mess with system files, I will definitely will!
Having you put obstacles in the way and treating me like I am an ignorant stupid little child, makes me upset!

This is Linux!
I want to be given the choice!
I want to be free to make that choice!
I don't like linux developers implementing Apple like policies.

"Executing Dolphin with sudo is not possible due to unfixable security vulnerabilities."

Really...?

KDE Neon 5.17 User Edition
Dolphin 19.08.2

I am 49.
I realized there are many rivers flowing to the same ocean.

This is Linux.
I have the choice.
I have been choosing to use Krusader currently for root matters under KDE.
(If not using the shell.)
Because this is Linux.
And I have the choice.

Although I agree with you, you seem to miss the point...
The thing is, because this IS Linux, I CAN run Dolphin with super user privileges.
So when I see messages stating "this is not possible", first thing that comes to my mind is that someone is bs'ing me!
It is an unacceptable policy in my opinion.
I'd rather see the "Running Dolphin as root can be dangerous. Please be careful." message, than something that underestimates my intelligence.

Deeply offended? I'm 60 and have been offended many times over far more pressing issues in my life than not being able to do something on a computer. I don't know..I MIGHT be deeply offended if I came home to see my wife getting it on with my computer and myself being excluded, but more than likely I'd just laugh at her.
Are your feeling really hurt that much to the point it rises to the level of deeply offended? Then again I get deeply offended watching dump people drive automobiles on public streets. I just have to get over it sometimes though.
