The forward and back buttons have picked up some extra clutter in one of these recent releases. Now they both have a small arrow pointing down... in Mozilla it would be called a dropmarker, but I don't know if that is an official name or just a particular habit they have. How can I get rid of these? They are unnecessary and ugly, and I can't find a UI setting to remove them. Edit- I understand that these were added as part of a long-requested feature, the addition of back/forward history. While I don't use that feature, and I would disable it if it were an option if it would restore the clean appearance of my Dolphin toolbar, I understand that many people do want it. It's just that the down-arrows are not necessary. My reasoning is this. Nearly everyone using Dolphin also uses either Firefox or Chrome/Chromium (or one of the descendants), both of which have forward/back buttons that do have the long-click history function, but do not have the down arrows. Firefox itself used to have these, but dropped these years ago, as it was assumed (correctly IMO) that everyone by now understood that the function was there without a constant reminder. The only reason Dolphin would need the down arrows is as a heads-up to the people who want this that this feature has been added... and after the person has tried it once and realized that the long-click now works, there's no more need to remind him every time Dolphin is opened forevermore. Maybe include a set of down-arrowless forward and back buttons in the list of available buttons in the customize toolbar dialog? |
