Progress bar during copying

Wed May 05, 2021 3:36 pm
I would like that when I am copying/moving files a progress bar window appears, like Caja does in Mate.
I have seen some tutorial on the internet, but it hasn't worked for me.
Is there one that works?
I'm on Debian 11, I was using Mate and I just switched to KDE (as installed from the Debian repos). Sorry if I'm asking something already answered.
Thanks

The reporting of file transfer progress is unreliable anyway (Bug #281270) so such feature would not be very useful right now. You may still file a feature request.

I'm interesting in this feature.
A progress bar with an actual progress bar and it should show the percentage and write speed.
Put that on a individual window that has a caption bar so that I can click it, move it around.
The size of the window should be static. I have seen some cases where the width of the window jumps around. That's annoying.
Also, i would like a feature where I can make it show as kB, MB, GB, TB (1024 B = 1 kB).
I don't know what this kibibyte none sense is.
