I can't get my head around this, so maybe I have something that's not working as expected but I don't know where to look and thought of asking here.

Recently upgraded from 20.10 to 21.04 running Kubuntu, and to my surprise, the Krunner default and custom shortcuts don't run (I've tried to remove and re-add my custom shortcuy without luck) and not only that, Dolphin stopped creating thumbnails for new screenshots (but I'm able to see the old ones). I've tried removing the `~/.cache/thumbnails` folder and then no thumbnails are displayed at all.

Googling around I've found that running `dbus-launch dolphin` did produce interesting results, and so it did, if I run it, the thumbnails get generated and it also fixes the shortcuts !! Now... does anyone know why this happens, and, what I can do to avoid having to do this sort of workaround?
