DARK theme for Dolphin on Windows10

Sun Aug 08, 2021 9:46 am
I am using Dolphin File Manger for obvious reasons on Windows, unfortunately to this date I haven't been able to force it to use dark theme.
It's inronic, since all the windows stuff can be set dark these days and since Dolphin is a KDE application (and in turn Qt), it's 100% possible to make it dark and it should be also pretty easy. I use Dolphin on Windows as "portable" (created a ZIP from a Dolphin installed on virtual Windows 10 machine).

Code: Select all
dolphin.exe --help-all

...contains also a list of Qt options, including
Code: Select all
--platformtheme <theme>
option, which I would assume could be used to load a qss style sheet, so I downloaded Dark Monokai and run dolphin as:

Code: Select all
dolphin.exe --platformtheme C:\Users\myhome\Downloads\DarkMonokai.qss

...but still no luck, Dolphin is "white". I may be trying to use it incorrectly, because I couldn't find any documentation for this option.

I'd be happy even if I had to do it manually, like editing a style sheet file, but I couldn't find any in the Dolphin folder.

Any ideas how to make Dolphin dark on Windows, please?
