I was using the very good thumbnailers of keneric which allows to use a bash or python script to create thumbnails in Dolphin.

But with the latest version of KDE, it doesn't work anymore for some unknown reason.

So to try to fix it, I need to understand how to create a basic thumbnailer as my many attempts have failed.

On this topic, I tried to create a thumbnailer that only creates a folder but it doesn't work.

The creation of the so file is good, the desktop file too, so what the problem ?
How to test it?

Can anyone help me?

I can understand some c++ but I don't program with it.

I really like Keneric, I need it.
