I would like to highlight an ergonomics issue. When you open or import a file in a software, the file manager doesn't look the same (It's Dolphin for Firefox, it looks like Nautilus for LibreOffice, an other for GIMP...) and you can't find its bookmarks or recent locations.

Can we choose the file manager that is associated with a software?

The window may also be different on Debian, Kubuntu or KDE neon.
I attach a capture of the handler on LibreOffice and on Firefox.
