Hi, I really like dolphin as the new KDE file browser but I was wondering how dolphin decides for a folder image.
Most of my music directories have a cover image included and it would be nice if Dolphin showed this for all folders. Here's what happens: For all folders there is a file cover.png inside the folder along with the mp3's. For most other folders it doesn't work at all, except for some reason all Bob Dylan albumart is loaded... maybe the KDE dev's are a little biased on music..? ![]()

Ah thanks! That helps, now all my images are displayed as folder images.
Here's what I did: 1) In every music folder I have a file "cover.png", which is just the cover of the album. 2) In (at least) one directory I found a file .directory, which contains some basic KDE info, it looks like this:
I copied this file to '/tmp', using
3) Next I wanted to all other folders to display this image if it is found in a certain dir, first i move to the dir with my music
and there I executed:
Once again, I love find! ![]() Everytime it finds a file cover.png it copies the .directory file to this directory. That's all, thanks again bcooksley.

I wish there is a plugin for Dolphin so that like most of the file managers it can show the embedded album art for the mp3 and ogg files.
