Hello!
Sorry to ask such a simple question but I can't find it in the documentation: what is the shortcut to expand/collapse the tree view of all folders? thx in advance, piedro |

I think that we have no shortcut for that, sorry.

thx for your answer.
Does this mean there is no way for dolphin to expand the file tree to the next level of subfolders and contents to get an overview about the folder structure (like for example the konsole program "tree" does") or that there is no shortcut and I have to assign one somehow? thx for reading, piedro |

If you currently have the folder selected, press the right arrow key should cause that folder to expand. The left arrow key should collapse that folder.

thx, I know that function of the arrow key. the problem I have is that it doesn't accept multiple folders at once.
This is a very important feature to compare folder structures. For example to look into project folders for 20 projects to ensure that every project folder conatins a folder "backup" within every subfolder. And yes I will put this on the wishlist. It's a feature that is standard for about 15 years in treebased file browsers as far as I can remember. It's called "expand all"/"collapse all" ... thx, piedro |

10 years old post... sorry but I can't find this option yet and I think it's really interesting.

I think that would be a good feature too. Specially if there were a way to expand tree showing only subfolders and not files.

I also would like to see this feature.
If I was in the directory tree and select a directory then press e.g. 'k' collapse all folders under that directory so you just see one level down. This would yield much less scrolling and clicking to find where you want to go in the folder tree. My 10 cents. |
