Same with toptic!

I has try to make a kde4 live cd, base with slackware x86_64 current, kde4 version is 4.8.4.

And when my live cd started , i can't see any local disk with dolphin left side bar.

But it's very funny, when i plug other disk like usb disk, sata hot plug disk, the disk list will be show in dolphin side bar, and i try to unplug the local disk who is pluged befor the system start, and replug it , then there's disk will be show in dolphin left side bar, but there's disk mount point has no change, still mounted in /mnt directory.

It's a wrong of d-bus ?! ( I had read the changelog of slackware update, they was say the new version was removed hal system support, and change it to use d-bus.)

Any body can tell me some tips to solve this problem?!

Did i missed some packages ?!

Best regards and thanks

I cannot recall exactly, but I think you have to mount internal disks before Dolphin will display them.

KDE prefers UDisks (version 1) at this point in time. I do not know if they conflict however..

I will note that on my KDE Trunk installation, all disks, both internal and external are shown in the Dolphin sidebar now, without any intervention. The "Show all entries" option no longer exists.
