here's the problem:
i have a music folder which has about 450 sub-folders (music albums) all of these folders have a folder.jpg image so i can see the album cover art on the folder. the problem is that Dolphin rebuilds the thumbnails every time i re-open my music folder. which takes about 15-20 seconds. i also checked the settings in Gwenview image viewer which apparently handles the thumbnails system-wide in Mint KDE. anyone has a solution to speed up thumbnail generations, or at least have Dolphin not re-generate them every times i open my music folder? |

I would suggest filing a bug on bugs.kde.org here, as the thumbnails should be cached (ideally against the folder modification timestamps - which should change when files move in or out of the folder.
