Every time I click on a symlink to a directory in the directory tree panel, I get "teleported" over to where the target directory is.
And I go "Arrrh!" every time. In my case that is definitely not what I want. I want to stay where I am in the directory tree.

The reason I want to stay is the same as when I watch news on tv what is happening during a civil war in Africa. I most definitely don't want to get teleported there. I just want to get the information. See what I mean?

So, Is there any way I can get Dolphin to stay graphically where the symlink is in the dir tree panel, and just show me the contents in the contents panel?
And if not. Where would be the correct place for a change request, or a feature request? bugs.kde.org?

if your folders are preceded in Dolphin with a ">-" then clicking the ">" will expand that folder tree not take you to the folder

You could simply swap, so create the dir where your symlink is right now and then link from where your dir supposed to be

Clicking on the ">" will expand the folder tree of the path you want to follow, but how to you actually enter a folder without going to the real location?

I've tried various combinations (e.g. clicking on the ">" and then on the folder) without luck. And when you reach an end folder, with no ">" then if you click on that, then you just go to the real location.

This feature is a valuable one, but I think it would be much better to put it in the right-click menu.

Yes, but this bug is known already: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302037

Currently, the only workaround is to not use the Terminal Panel. Sorry!
