I'm a new KDE - and thus Dolphin - user, stumped by the Dolphin "Find" option, wot ignores the * and ? wildcards
I type ?.jpg in Find, hoping to get a list of all the files with a single character, followed by .jpg; for example, 2.jpg or h.jpg. Instead I get a list of ALL the .jpg's Same problems with all search combinations using the ? or * wildcards. (I'm using an Intel Wolfdale E8400 based desktop system with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS O.S. and KDE 4.8.5 Plasma Desktop) I'm mystified. Any suggestions? |

I tested this under KDE Trunk (to be 4.10) and both the ? and * characters appeared to function as you expected.
I would recommend upgrading to KDE 4.9 if possible (as it may be implemented there) or otherwise waiting for KDE 4.10 to be released - unless you want to try out the beta.
