FTP Upload errors

Sun Dec 02, 2012 4:54 am
Hi, I am trying to use Dolphin as an FTP client. I can view and download files from my Web folder but when I try to upload from Dolphin back to the webfolder it gives the following error.
"Could not delete partial file, please check permissions"

Can you please assist me with this error, many thanks in advance for your help.

The partial file Dolphin was referring to is likely the *.part file it uses to perform the upload - which is then renamed/copied on the destination to the final intended name.

I would suggest checking with the operator of the FTP server to ensure deletes of *.part files (as well as their creation) is permitted.

Thanks for reply, I have used that FTP account to upload successfully via filezilla, would that mean that it answers your question?

Can you delete files on the FTP server using Filezilla?
