I have a small (sometimes large) problem. I am new to KDE and I am doing something when using the mouse and I do not know what I did. and I need help in getting rid of the multible entries that are stacked up on top of each entry, the file extention, usually ".deb".
The help I need is: What am I doing to get these multible entries in the middle of the Desktop , and How do I get rid of them with out deleting all the entries indivually. Sorry for any spelling mistacks or not being clear with my problems, as I am more them partly blind (Desktop is vert hard to see. Thanks TopEnder |

this happen when the mouse hovers over a file type of .deb ? what about other file types ?
what are the multiple entries ? are they the file contents of the .deb can you provide a picture? use ksnapshot (maybe with delay), post the pic to a free pic hosting site, then post the link here |

Maybe you accidentially extract an archive to your desktop directory, could that be?
I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

Thanks google01103 and scumos, I think my problems lies with the hover . Is there anyway to remove the Hover function or delete it or change the Hover preferences. All the files (1000 plus) have the ”.deb” extension. Is there anyway to delete all of the displayed files, or do I have to delete then individually. Thanks.

If it's the hover try either:
1) disable all previews: view -> uncheck previews 2) disable just .deb previews : -> setting -> configure -> general -> previews -> uncheck .deb (if option exists) |
