I'm running KDE as a guest in VirtualBox, and whenever I navigate into a shared folder with Dolphin and then resize a column, it freezes up and I have to kill the process. Resizing works fine within the linux filesystem--it's only a problem when I go into the VirtualBox shared folder area. Does anyone know if I can change a setting in VirtualBox to make Dolphin happy with the filesystem? I'm not sure how to investigate the problem, since it seems closely tied to the GUI, which would require building source and debugging to see any details. Thanks for your help.

I would try VirtualBox forums, specifically Linux guests https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewforum.php?f=3

Another thing you could try is attaching a debugger to Dolphin (if it is not frozen waiting for data, ie. D state) and generating a backtrace to see where it is stuck.
