Cluttered Service-Menu

Wed Feb 06, 2013 9:22 am
This is a feature-request and I hope I'm in the right thread for this.

I would like to have the possiblity to remove these entries from the service-menu:

- Add to places

Because these actions are already much easier to perform with middle-click, drag-and-drop, ... . So from my perspective they are useless and just clutter the menu.

Easiest would maybe be, to add them to the list of services: settings -> configure Dolphin -> services. Or to give them a .desktop file, which can be edited then.

Many, many Thanks to the makers of Dolphin. After so many years of living with different file-managers I finally found the one for me! Behind every corner there is a pleasant surprise, a nice feature etc. wich makes using it so easy and a joy! :-)

Best,
Thomas

I would suggest making feature requests at bugs.kde.org to ensure the requests are not lost. However, I suspect that it would not be implemented, as middle click and drag and drop are not 100% discoverable, and the alternate methods are sometimes quite useful (particularly for devices which are input limited).
