Hi,
I hope I am missing someting obvious. Is there a way in Dolphin to display the file pane tab bar at all times, similar to Konqueror? Thanks. ![]() |

Thanks. What is the appropriate route to post a feature request?

Feature requests should be posted on bugs.kde.org.
Please note that the developers may decide that the feature is not suitable for inclusion in Dolphin (as it is not useful, or due to some other criterion).

Indeed, I am not in favor of such a feature. Please note that every config option makes the settings dialog more complex and harder to use and adds additional code paths that make debugging and future maintenance harder. Therefore, I am strongly against adding new options unless there is a very good reason why a new option would be needed, which is, IMHO, not the case here. |

I understand that requesting new features is always potentially controversial.
![]() Although I use dolphin I still use konqueror a lot as a file manager. Tough to break many habits from years of usage. ![]() With that said, yes, I added the new tab button to my dolphin toolbar and there is the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+T. That helps somewhat as a work-around, but I still would like to see a configuration check box to enable the tab bar full time. ![]() |
