freininghaus Moderator Posts 224 Karma 1 OS	Re: Dolphin keeps crashing after 4.10.5 upgrade Wed Sep 04, 2013 9:11 am Hm, I wonder if something is wrong with the setup on your system, or if some Kubuntu-specific patches cause the problem. If this was a common problem, I guess we would have received some crash reports at bugs.kde.org. The problem doesn't really look related to Dolphin's core code according to the backtrace, but the probability that anyone can figure out what the problem could be might increase if you could install debugging packages for Dolphin and kdelibs and generate a new backtrace. Also the error message that is printed just before the crash if you run Dolphin from a shell might be interesting.

It looks like an assertion in XCB is being triggered for some reason (although i'm surprised other parts of KDE which deal with keyboard modifiers are not also crashing).
