Previews for *.DjVu files are not being shown in folder view.



(If you want a djvu file this is one that I have been using to test this with.

Edit: 21-Oct-2013 File now removed.

So that confirms the problem is not Dolphin's and points to KIO::PreviewJob ? (In which case I'll file a bug report against KIO).

Yes, I guess the problem is either there or in the thumbnailer itself. Maybe kio/thumbnail is the best product to report the issue for.

Thanks Guys - Appreciate the help.

With a recent update of kdelibs4 & kdelibs4-core to version 4.11.2-10.1 this issue is now fixed.
The change log shows this:
- Added 0001-Fix-association-with-derived-mimetype-again.patch, fixes
remaining issues in mimetype handling, see e.g. kde#324502
Which I'm guessing was the cause of the problem.

That certainly explains it - thanks for posting the solution, along with a clear indication of why it fixed it.

I like to tidy up loose ends...

Unfortunately, that update broke okular's opening of some types of PDFs
4.11.2-11.1 (of kdelibs4 & kdelibs4-core) released a couple of days later fixed that, and no regression, DjVu previews is still OK...
