Illegal mount!

Mon Nov 18, 2013 8:19 pm
Hello,

Recently Dolphin shows illegal drive I never mounted it before and when I click on that drive I got this error message:

Code: Select all
An error occurred while accessing '*', the system responded: The kernel driver for this filesystem type is not available.: Error mounting: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda5,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

May some one help me to fix this issue?

tell us about the partition
Code: Select all
fdisk -l /dev/sda

it could be corrupt because of a crash or such, if so this looks like a good tutorial for fixing a corrupt ext4 file system, obviously if it's a diff file system the instructions would be somewhat different http://linuxexpresso.wordpress.com/2010 ... in-ubuntu/

Please also verify that only a "swap" entry is present in /etc/fstab.
