My mobo died, bought a new windoze machine. (have not instaled Kubuntu yet)
Trying to access "old" drive from a live boot disk (12.04.3)
I have previous drive installed but cannot find my bookmarks etc.
Not sure where to go from here, all of my old "knowledge" is in my bookmarks.

Question is: whre are my bookmarks and how do I access them?

where: /home/your_account_name/.kde/share/apps/konqueror/bookmarks.xml on the mounted installed drive

how to access from the livcd: try copying the file to the user you are on the livecd with the same path but new user_account_name

once you get access to them you can use the bookmark manager to export them to another format if desired

when i click on the .kde folder I get this;

Could not enter folder /media/0598cf46-f651-47fe-8f57-49b10400c6a2/home/devin/.kde

also forgot to mention I was looking for firefox and chrome bookmarks.

Chromium (if using Chrome then .....) - /media/0598cf46-f651-47fe-8f57-49b10400c6a2/home/devin /.config/chromium/Default/Bookmarks

could not enter ..... - not sure, what are the permissions to the folder? have you tried running Dolphin as Root?

I did a 2 step and it worked.
copied to system first.
