Which version of KDE are you using, and do you have the MTP KIOSlave installed?

Thanks i was missing that package, now i have the minor problem that it appears twice, one with the name, and the other with out the name that doesn't work, also whenever i open a file, the cellphone gets reconnected and it throws some messages like the loading is low or there was an error.

I'm using KDE 4.13.0

Okay, the reconnection issue likely means you have a phone with a sensitive MTP stack that can't handle multiple connections. I'm not sure if there has been progress on correcting the MTP KIOSlave to be able to use a single communication channel for all actions at this stage unfortunately.

As for why it appears twice - does one of the entries appear to behave like a Digital Camera?

I don't think so, it appears like a device that couldn't mount correctly. How do i check that?

In the Device Notifier it will appear with a Camera or Phone type icon, and when you try to Open it in Dolphin it will be opened with a camera:/ URL.

No, this is not the case

Code: Select all
The file or folder udi=/org/kde/solid/udev/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:02.1/usb2/2-6/2-6:1.0 does not exist.

Did this broken item appear before or after the MTP KIOSlave was installed?

Okay, I believe this is a known issue - which has since been fixed. Debian probably has not yet shipped the fix, or it is contained in a version Debian is not able to ship.

As a workaround, try "mtp:/" in Dolphin and see how far that gets you.

My phone appears after a couple of mins and several reconnects, the device without name doesn't appear

Unfortunately it appears that your phone is incompatible with the current way the MTP KIOSlave works I am afraid.
