Hi,
we always use Konqueror to manage files under Linux SUSE Enterprise SERVER 11. When we trash files from a non-HOME partition, Konqueror create a .Trash-uid directory at the root of the partition. in our case, the partition is a directory where a file system (NFS) is mounted. the DOLPHIN behaviour is different when we process the same action. DOLPHIN copy the deleted files into the HOME Trash. so we have latency with the network or errors when the size of files is more biggest than the HOME quota. we want to know how enable the creation of the $topdir/.Trash-uid directory with DOLPHIN? our environment is: Linux SuSE Enterprise SERVER 11, kernel 3.0.101-0.31-default Dolphin version 1.3 using KDE 4.3.5 Konqueror version 3.5.10 using KDE 3.5.10 Best regards Christophe |

This is an improvement included in the KDE 4.x series i'm afraid - if you use Konqueror from KDE 4.x (which should be available from your distribution) then this issue should be solved.
