When I right click on a folder there is a big delay until the menu is shown.
I'm running Debian Jessie and I think that the problem is the kio-mtp package, when I uninstall it, there is no delay. Also, when I right click on a file there is no delay. |

does this happen 1st time you start Dolphin? or even if Dolphin already started?
do you have a mtp device connected? version of kio-mtp? mtpfs? libmtp9 (or something similar)? ps - I did not note any relevant kio_mtp bug reports on bugs.kde.org but did on Ubuntu's https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1177551 |

Yeah, I'm experiencing the same issues.
if I have one instance of Dolphin open and then I install kio-mtp, the problem is noticeable instantly, if I remove the package the problem goes away instantly. Having or not having a mtp device connected doesnt change anything. |

Since you have found out that the problem is related to kio-mtp, you might want to file a bug report at http://bugs.kde.org/ for the product "kio", component "mtp". Analyzing the problem is probably much easier if you can obtain a backtrace while it's hanging, see https://community.kde.org/Dolphin/FAQ/Freeze for details. Thanks for your help!
