When trying to add a new sftp connection to the list of connections using the wizard, I get, after receiving a notification that the connection was set up successfully, the error message
sftp://<login>@<server>:22/ is a folder but a file was expected

and I cannot actually access the remote and no icon is added to the list of remote connections. I have successfully set up samba and webdav connections, but any sftp connection fails in this way (I tried two different servers).

Please advise on ways to circumvent this issue (create the connection in another fashion, without the wizard, which may be causing this), diagnose and solve this issue.

TIA,

Erik

If we bypass the wizard, are you able to open the url directly in Dolphin? (You might need to click just to the right of the right most element in the breadcrumb bar to turn it into a URL bar first).

This issue does not appear with dolphin plasma-5 branch. So marking as solved.
