music files 'leaking'

Fri Dec 26, 2014 12:06 am
mint 17 dolphin

this problem has been happening for quite a while, however it's starting to occur more and more.
i'll go into 'my music' and pick an mp3 file to play. once the song starts, instead of hearing the song that is supposed to be on that file, it'll be a different song from my music library.
yesterday one file i played had the correct song for a couple of minutes until it changed to a completely different one!
i have ended up deleting a number of my music files because of this problem.
so now i'm unsure what will start to play, the song thats mentioned in the title of the file, or another from my library.

i hope someone can help me please.

what are you using to play the music?

does the music leak if you open the mp3 from within the music app?

what happens if you open the mp3 within Dolphin using a diff music player?
