Hello

I want to manually edit Dolphins file associations. What file do I have to edit?

My problem is that Dolphin tries to open .fsx which is F# script file with VLC media player. And I cannot change it from Dolphin itself.

When I: Right click file -> Properties -> File type options -> remove VLC from list -> apply then it shows as if it is updating the file associations but when the "Updating system configuration" goes away it puts VLC back as a first option.

However when I: right click file -> open with -> other -> and choose "remember ... " then it works. So I am interested where does it keep this information...

for explaination of mime types see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/De ... plications

stored in ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list

for this I usually use systemsettings -> file associations
