Can some one explain to me how to make that search panel work?
opensuse 42.1 kde5
eg click on the search panel "Video" (other items in the group are: documents|audio|images)
The search opens on top, I type the name of the video, and it never finds anything. even after letting it sit for an hour while it says searching.

I went to system settings and made sure the folders were not excluded. I checked baloo, and they are indexed.
but if i use the panel search: no results. The FInd on the dolphin menu works fine.

What am I missing?

I still have the error in the version they say it is resolved, what should I do?

you can try as a new user, other than that post on bugs.kde.org (as you've already done)
