I get an "Invalid protocol" error message right under the location bar when I attempt to log into an SMB share "smb://10.5.0.20. The weird thing is that I can log into that same share via Konqueror on the same machine.

Anyone have suggestions for me? What are the next steps?

try installing kio-extras5 (or something similarly named)

note: it helps to know what you're running inc/ versions

Hi,

I have the same problem. When I am trying to access company folder with files (by \\192.168.1.33) Dolphin says: invalid protocol. I got kio-extras, samba installed.
