Hi,

Today I was putting together all my notes from university and when I named it I realized that the alphanumeric order doesn't work like I expected. With the following files names:

• T00
• T01
• T011
• T02
• T10
• T12

I expected dolphin order them like I wrote but it takes the "T011" like "T11" and dolphin order them like the next way:

• T00
• T01
• T02
• T10
• T011
• T12

Because first index them by the (letter) T, secondly by the first number (0), after that for the second number (1) and for the last the following characters in order.
I wrong with any of this idea or anyway to change the order in dolphin because T011 for me is not T11.

The point of the default "natural" sorting is to interpret digits as numbers and treat 011 the same as 11.

You can disable this in dolphin's settings (General), though.

settings -> configure Dolphin -> general -> sorting mode -> Alphabetical sorting (either)

Thanks wolfi323 for the explanation, and thanks google01103 for tell me the location of the option. Merge the two answers now I understand what happens and how to solve it. I left here a pic of where is the option for anyone else need it. (Sorry, the text is in Galician, but all the buttons are equal )
