I have used Dolphin for some years now and it has slowly replaced Midnight Commander as my favourite File Manager, but, within the last day or so, it's behaviour has changed. All the time I have used it, when I un-hid what was hidden the Hidden Directories & Files appeared at the top of the screen and the unhidden Directories & Files were below them; suddenly, this has changed. Now the Unhidden Directories stay at the top of the screen with the Hidden Directories beneath; Hidden & Unhidden files are, in no particular order, at the bottom.
I have been having some trouble with my Konsole (now, I hope, sorted out), but, I have never touched the Dolphin settings I have used for years - except, of course, after Dolphin went Kerflooey - but I can't get the old set back. Does anyone have any ideas? dmk |

Hello duncan_mk
What version of KDE and Dolphin are you using? What was konsole doing? When I would un-hide the files, the folders would be at the top for me and the single files are displayed below. Have you changed the layout of how your dir is displayed? I wonder if you changed view mode to another option and back to the one you prefer, if it would reset to the way it was? And if you look in your Dolphin settings there is a "sort by" option, adjust that as well. It is worth giving a try at least. Cheers. |
