Hi.
I haven't had much success in finding a solution to this. OpenSuse Leap 42.2. upgrade from correctly working opensuse 13.2 I can sftp in dolphin to another server. The landing directory lists. If I click on a subdirectory (any subdirectory) to open it Dolphin sits with "Loading Folder" forever. If I right click on the folder Open in new tab Dolphin sits with "Loading Folder" If I right click on the folder Open in new window Dolphin opens the folder and lists it in a new window, but the same problem exists with subfolders here. If I start Dolphin in a terminal I get the following. ~> dolphin sftp://server.somewhere.com/home/steve/ Trying to convert empty KLocalizedString to QString. Cannot creat accessible child interface for object: PlacesView(0x2d63e70) index: 17 There are no problems with ssh or drag/drop files with dolphin once in a directory. Any suggestions please, thanks, steve Update: Dolphin is working fine with fish. Server at the other end is SLES. |

I have exactly the same symptoms on fedora 25 64-bit although I haven't tried opening dolphin with a sftp URL from the terminal. Seems like a bug in dolphin and/or KDE.

I have openssh-server installed. Made a path name in Dolphin when I was connected via sftp to a computer on the LAN. Now whenever I use Dolphin, I'm getting (critical) messages in the syslog
