I have several photographs in ~/Pictures and I manage them with Digikam.

I expected that Ratings and Tags assigned to the photographs in Digikam would be honoured by Dolphin. But they are not.

Is that because I have not set things up properly or is that how it is supposed to be?

What digiKam settings are you using ?

Tags/ratings are saved to the Metadata ?
Metadata is stored to the Baloo database ?

KDE Frameworks 5.36.0
Baloo 5.36.0
digiKam 5.6.0
Dolphin 17.04.3

The Dolphin can read the tags/ratings from the exif metadata.

Today I don't see this option in Digikam: where is it now? I use an appimage... Yes, the problem is appimage. With a package from Kubuntu I can write metatags readable from Baloo.
