Hi everyone.
I'm having problems with dolphin. On opening the home directory of my user, dolphin freezes. If I'm starting dolphin in another directory, it's working. But when I change to the home directory of the specific user, it freezes again. This also happens, when some other file dialog is opened, e.g. when I'm trying to save a file in kate. Opening the home directories of other users seems to be fine. I'm using Kubuntu 16.04. Regards and thanks in advance. Beate |

When dolphin freezes is it trying to do something in the background (using either CPU or IO)?
Do you have a lot of files in your home directory (including dot-files if you have Show Hidden Files enabled) (i.e. more than a couple hundred)? Is there possibly a permissions/ownership issue somewhere? What OS and version of KDE is being used?
