I often use konqueror and dolphin together. If I change something in the general options (which changes the dolphinrc file) in konqueror it does not get picked up by dolphin unless I restart it.
The same is true the other way around.
Through qdbus I found a call in konqueror that makes it reread the config file dolphinrc and pick up the changes on the fly.
But although I checked extensively all the qdbus calls for dolphin I could not find one that does the same for dolphin.
I would be grateful if somebody could tell me which qdbus command gets dolphin to reread its config file dolphinrc on the fly (if there is such call).
