Hello,

if you right-click in the devices List on the left panel in the file manager Dolphin, there is the option to hide entries.

So far so good. But how can I get an entry back to that devices list, once that it had been hidden by the above method ?

Right click an empty/title area and enable the 'Show All Entries' then you could unhide:

Apologies for the pseudo-necropost but it's only been a few months and this (related) question may help future Googler's to be.

My instance of KDE Dolphin resets the hidden devices upon reboot. Whereas it'll retain the same quantity of devices shown, it randomly swaps in devices between those previously hidden & shown. For instance, 3 primary drives each with a mirror configured to be hidden, upon reboot the 2 mirrors and 1 primary may display. Changing them back to desired state will persist until next reboot.

Add'l info: Both primary and mirror devices are used in crypttab and are referenced in fstab using /dev/mapper alias.

Does there exist a config flatfile that I can lock these changes into?

I've had a similar issue:
Container volumes kept showing after I hide them.
After inspecting the ~/.local/share/user-places.xbel file, I found ~3000 non-existent devices.

So, I've created a Node.js script to hide the container devices and remove non-existent devices:
