I've installed Ark so that I can use the context menu entry in Dolphin to compress selected files to .tar.gz- but I want to change the defaults to -9 & --rsyncable.

I looked in /usr/share/kservices5/ServiceMenus/ark_addtoservicemenu.desktop & I don't see any commands explicitly defined there where I could just add the additional options.
This is the closest I see to what I'm referring to.

Does anyone know where/what I need to edit to do this?

You could add your own servicemenu by adding the desktop file ( a template: https://cgit.kde.org/ark.git/diff/app/a ... 1b4c86f66e ) to the $HOME/.local/share/kservices5/ServiceMenus/.



If you want to you could disable the official Ark servicemenu from the Dolphin settings:

Could someone tell me where in what file I can add the -9 & --rsyncable to the command that the "Compress > Here (As TAR>GZ)" menu item utilizes? I don't see anything resembling any sort of tar command in any of the aforementioned files.
