I have CentOS 7 with Dolphin as my main file manager and I also have a Windows 10 laptop. Sometimes I need to transfer things between both of them over the network. Samba is installed and working properly. I know that, because I also have Nautilus, and I can access the laptop very easily. However, I can't do the same with Dolphin.
The reason is related to Windows 10. Since my user account on this laptop uses my Gamil email as a user name, the domain is not the typical WORKGROUP. In fact, in my case, it is gmail.com. When entering the network credentials, Nautilus provide me with 3 text fields, username, domain and password. Dolphin, on the other hand, only provides the username and password. Is there a way to change the domain when trying to connect to this laptop. |

I figured this out.
All I need to do is to use the domain in the username field in this way: DOMAIN\USERNAME ...which in my case translates into: gmail.com\{My Email Address} |
