All,
I needed to get off an old OpenSUSE install and couldn't wait for Neon 18.04 any longer, so I installed Kubuntu 18.04. Previously, whenever I would make changes with non-kio apps to files on a samba share, Dolphin would offer to upload the file when I quit the app. In this new Kubuntu install, though, this isn't happening. I have spent the better part of the day trying to find a fix or workaround and none of the other file managers or methods of mounting samba shares is helping, as they each have their own quirks that break the workflow, forcing me to manually copy files back to the server every time I save. Does anyone have any idea how to get it to start asking me to upload changed files again before I give up and install Ubuntu Mate instead? |

Update: I just worked on a LibreOffice file and it asked to upload the changed file, as expected. So, it works with LibreOffice, but not KeePassX. It worked fine with KeePassX when I was on Leap 42.1, so I don't know why it isn't on this newer Plasma that is on Kubuntu 18.04.
