Major repos such as Arch, Arch AUR or debian do not a good job to help users find service-menus for dolphin.
e.g. in Arch Octopi package manager, there are prominent package-groups containing just a single package ! This is a complete waste of effort and totally unergonomic. On the other hand, if you wanna know what servicemenus octopi has to offer, you need multiple search terms to find them, or, indeed, not find them. packages containing servicemenus are not named in a systematic fashion such as "dolphin-service-menu-search" to offer KFind via right-click. this situation is very unsatifactory ! what to do about it ? debian package tags are a solution but only a small percentage of those 20000 packages are tagged. |

Well, KDE has little control over how the distro (or the distro's users/contributors) bundles some things like this.
I personally wouldn't bother with service menus from the repos since most of the interesting ones are available on the kde store and can be installed from Dolphin -> Configure Dolphin -> Services -> Download New Services...

well you actually cannot necessarily find them there due to excessive censorship, which, of course, leaves no trace.
